Of course we can! Absolutely everyone can play music, including you.
It's never too late to start! Learning to play music is fun and life-enriching challenge than anyone of any age can enjoy. No matter what your musical ambitions are, your age will not limit you. At Independent Music Academy, we've helped many retirees make the journey from absolute beginners to highly proficient musicians.
Yes we do. We will also be offering Early Childhood Music classes in the future for children under 5. We do offer group introductory, improvisation and ensemble lessons. Though not regular group classes for instruments or voice.
Yes we do. Both A.M.E.B. and music theory can be taught alongside the appropriate instrument.
Our mentoring staff are professional musicians and music teachers. They are highly skilled musicians, trained to help others improve their own abilities. If you have a professional problem, we can help you.
Reaching a certain level of proficiency is largely just a matter of time and practice. At Independent Music Academy, we've helped hundreds of students achieve their goals faster by taking the time to understand them and then providing lessons tailored to their individual needs. Our Mentors are more than just great musicians - they're also great teachers.
Music is for everybody, and how good you can get at any aspect of it is a matter of training, practice and passion. None of the most 'gifted' musicians of our time were born great: they all spent countless hours studying, practicing, and working hard to achieve their goals. At Independent Music Academy, our mentors are professional musicians who know what it takes to achieve any level of proficiency. All you need to provide is passion, enthusiasm, and the time to practice and improve.
While practice is important, it's also important to enjoy your journey towards becoming a better musician. Our mentors can help you set goals that will help you achieve as much as you can as quickly as you can with the time you have available to you.

We do not offer group lessons because they do not provide the tailored, individual style of learning that will help our students achieve their goals efficiently. While group lessons may appear cheaper, they limit what you achieve and how fast you can achieve your goals. Ultimately, they often cost more and provide less.
